What to Expect
In a breathwork session, you will be comfortably lying down, and facilitated in a 3-part circular breathing pattern. A journey is typically an hour long, and will be accompanied by music. A guided meditation will be provided at the beginning to relax and settle into the body. You may wish to work with an intention for your journey and will be offered verbal, physical (optional), and energetic support to enhance and deepen your experience. Ocea is committed to providing a trauma-informed practice and you will be safely supported throughout.
Who is it for?
Breathwork is for those who may be seeking a transformative experience. You might be looking for something other than the intellect to feel and process embodied emotions, or to release tension. You may be curious about expanded states of awareness, shifts in perspective, and a deeper connection to self. People often come to breathwork working their way through grief, anxiety, low mood, stagnancy, or for an alternate way to further your personal or spiritual growth.
*Conscious connected breathwork is an active style of breathing, and while it is beneficial for most, it is not recommended for those who are pregnant, have cardiovascular or respiratory issues, high blood pressure, epilepsy/seizures, or some mental health diagnoses. Please contact us to discover if breathwork is suitable for you.
Welcome to Ocea Breathwork. The style of breathwork we facilitate is called conscious connected breathwork. It is a gentle yet powerful breathing practice where the inhale and exhale flow continuously, without pauses, in a steady, intentional rhythm. It offers a therapeutic experience that provides opportunity for self-discovery, connection, and healing. Rather than focusing on thinking or analyzing, the practice works directly through the body- the breath serves as a bridge, allowing emotional and physiological patterns to be accessed and processed through somatic experience.
By shifting breathing patterns and nervous system activity, conscious connected breathwork can also open to non-ordinary states of consciousness. In these states, awareness may feel expanded, and memories, insights, or symbolic experiences may arise. Many people experience access to subconscious material or new perspectives that are not always available in ordinary consciousness.
At its core, conscious connected breathwork is less about effort and more about allowing—allowing the breath to move freely, allowing the body to feel, process and release, and allowing consciousness to expand. When guided by a trained facilitator, this creates an experience that is both grounded and expansive: rooted in the body while opening space for deep inner exploration and integration.
